SUDE Ministries: Bible Teachings (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)

2 Corinthians 5: 14 – 15

“For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

And that he died for all, that they who live should no longer live unto themselves, but unto him who died for them, and rose again.”

As children of God, righteous and holy people, born of the Spirit, new creations in Christ and having the Holy Spirit in us by the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ, we have the love of Christ in our hearts. This love of Christ in our hearts comes from the Holy Spirit in us, and His love helps to compel and control us to live righteously as disciples according to His will.

We are able to live well for our LORD Jesus and obey Him as disciples when we have the knowledge and understanding of His love for us (His Church and Body). This is why we need to study the Word of God and meditate on it continually to know more about our LORD Jesus, who He is, what He taught and commanded, and what He did. He said if we love Him, we will keep His commandments. How do you keep His commandments of love well if you do not know Him well? We are only able to follow Him well when we know Him well.

When we know and understand that though He knew no sin, He willingly delivered or gave Himself as a worthy sacrifice to go through unimaginable pain, to be wounded for our transgression, to be bruised for our iniquities, to be chastised and crucified on the cross for us (sinners worthy of eternal punishment in hell fire) to reconcile us to God so we can be at peace with our heavenly Father, we will no longer live unto ourselves, but unto Him who died for us and rose again for us. This should humble us before Him. This should make us submit to His will. So much Glory!!!

Grace, Love and Peace to you from our LORD Jesus Christ.
